Terms + Policies
My website (smoothiesbycolor.com, the “Site”, “my website”) and its content is owned by Liz Lawson (“me”, “I”, “myself”, “my”). “You” refers to any users, visitors or viewers of the Site.
By accessing or using this Site, you agree to my policies and terms. If you disagree with any part of this document, then you should cease using the Site immediately.
Smoothies by Color is primarily a blog that represents personal opinions and experiences, as well as original recipes. It does not represent the views of any other person unless explicitly stated or in the case of contributed posts, guest posts, or interviews.
To create my content, I use my experiences, the experiences of others, and various resources; including, but not limited to: the Wild, Wild Web; pop culture; social media; nature; and the Bible.
That said, this information comes with zero guarantees. By using this Site, you’re essentially signing a contract saying you understand that I make no guarantees, and you won’t try to sue me and/or lash out if you don’t get your way.
My advice and opinion is taken into account at your own risk, but for a proper analysis, hire a lawyer/doctor/other licensed professional—preferably one with a fancy-ass certificate on their wall recognized by official organizations, ’cause who doesn’t favor a fancy certificate?
Everything provided on this Site is provided on an as-is and where-is basis, and without any warranties unless noted otherwise. Using this Site equates not to a contractual relationship with me (save the one wherein you agree you understand these policies and terms).
🌈 TL;DR: I’m not a guru; my blog exists as a resource rather than for sound doctrine purposes
Sometimes I link to third-party websites, because I’m not the only person who has a site online. I am not responsible for content on third-party websites, nor what happens after you visit a third-party website.
Browsing and interacting on any website, including websites which may link to smoothiesbycolor.com, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.
Some third-party links are affiliate links. Depending on how you interact with an affiliate link and the site it points to, I may earn a percentage of the compensation. This is at no extra cost to you. Likewise, I publish sponsored content, which means some content was paid for by a third-party. I vet sponsors and affiliates thoroughly, and do not pursue relationships with companies that don’t meet my quality standards. Affiliate links and sponsored posts will always be disclosed as per the FTC guidelines.
🌈 TL;DR: I’m not responsible for the repercussions of other links, even if those websites link to me; check individual terms and policies. Some posts use affiliate links and/or are sponsored, so I may be compensated; I’ll always appropriately disclose.
All content on this Site — including words, photos, recipes, images, information, and graphics — is my property and produced by me unless stated otherwise. All rights are reserved unless stated otherwise.
🌈 TL;DR: Content created for this blog is copyrighted and requires written permission to use. Additionally, you may not use this Site’s likeness to mislead or infringe on its or its owner’s rights. See permission policy.

I have a zero-tolerance policy for content that is abusive, defamatory, offensive, or otherwise cruel and inappropriate, and will remove it on the spot.
You may leave a comment under a pseudonym/alias if you wish to remain anonymous. The email address used to submit a comment helps prevent spam and will not be displayed on the site. Should you continue to access this Site by other means after my termination, I am not obligated to interact with you personally, and to not respect my termination is, well, rude.
Basically, if you don’t harass me, try to replicate me, and/or plagiarize my content repeatedly and then defame me when I report it? You probably haven’t anything to worry about.
All provisions of the terms which, by their nature, should survive termination shall survive termination; including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity and limitations of liability.
🌈 TL;DR: I reserve the right to terminate your access to my website at my discretion.
